Jet's Backstory ch.6

After a few minutes,Jet ditched the knife started moving again. He didn't feel good at all. He had a splitting head ache,his feet were numb and sore,and he was worrying himself to death. He wasn't even looking where he was going,but he should have. He bumped into an innocent bystander and they both fell backwards.

"AH!" The stranger yelped.

"Oh man,I'm sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going." Jet apologized. Now that he snapped out of his little daze he saw who he bumped into. A male umbreon, with practically glowing green eyes, and a tuft of hair that went the opposite way the rest of his hair went was covering his eyes a little. He stood up and held his hand out to Jet to help him up.

As Jet pulled his am a little to get up,the umbreon said,"It's OK. Anyway,my name's Skiff."

"And my name's Jet. Look,I'd love to get to know you,but I'm in a hurry." Jet started to walk away but Skiff followed.

"Hey,wait! Where are you off to in such a hurry?"

Jet didn't wait. He kept going with Skiff following."....To save a friend..."

"Whoa,what happened?" He wanted to know everything. He was too interested to ignore it.

Jet sighed and told his little story to Skiff. Skiff couldn't believe it. He had some enemies,but nothing THIS serious.

"Hey,what were you doing out here anyway?" Jet had been wondering but never asked until then.

"Well,I was just kind of taking a walk. I know it was pretty stupid but...I like the cold. How it nips at your skin and it makes you feel all weird. And when you go inside and your cheeks feel strange. I love it." Skiff looked away. He hadn't really told anybody about that before he met Jet.

"Well,I've had enough of the cold." Jet muttered bitterly.

After that they remained silent until Skiff said something that made Jet almost crack.

"So...this Delilah girl must be pretty special to you."

Jet kept moving but he looked up. He remained silent until he finally felt ready to speak.
"S-she...was more than special...that idiot,Derek just loves to torture the innocent." Jet's hate for the gengar grew stronger every second.

"So...now you apparently have to have some big fight with him or whatever?"

"...yup."

"...W...well,I wanna help! I don't care if you don't want me to,I'm coming whether you like it or not!" Skiff grinned. He was pretty enthusiastic now. He was determined to help his new friend.

Jet smiled a little. "...Thanks."
